Beyond my advisory work, Mike Richardson and I are building PXO, the Portfolio Professionals Exchange. A movement, a community and a growing body of thinking for people who’ve stopped working one job and started working several. Here’s the world we’re building, and the ways in.

The movement

PXO is to portfolio professionals what CXO is to the C-suite: a home for the whole, gloriously varied category, the fractionals, NEDs, advisors, founders, specialists and solopreneurs who do many things well, in more than one place at once.

The “X” is your unknown, the unique mix only you run. It’s easy to feel scattered across it, and easy to be mistaken for an interim, a fractional or an entrepreneur. PXO exists to name it, map it, and give the portfolio life a centre of gravity of its own. Because the shift is already underway, the only question left is timing.
